It’s hard to imagine Matt Ryan as a down-to-Earth Welshman after seeing him epitomise the quirky demon-fighting Scouser John Constantine in DC’s critically acclaimed yet sadly cancelled series, and he seems to be as much a fan boy of the show as anyone. He was wonderfully chatty about the unusual role including the difficulties of reciting Aramaic and how he’s shocked by young fans who dress up as his character in Constantine. As well as his recent part playing an American journalist in ITV’s The Halcyon and using yet another accent, he has been conquering his fear of heights by skydiving and learning to fly! So has Ryan finally hung up the trench coat? Find out in my exclusive interview for MyM Buzz below:
Constantine is available on Netflix and well worth a watch! You can also see Matt performing in the West End this August in David Harrower’s haunting Knives in Hens.
