LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Set Visit Pt 1: First Glimpse! [VIDEO]

DAY 3 OF FILMING

We caught up with the producer/director of the LoT pilot, Glen Winter, as they finished filming Day 3 of the shoot – at half  past midnight! – and fans gathered to meet the stars. Caity Lotz and Brandon Routh stopped to take pics and sign for fans despite the late hour, looking remarkably fresh. As one fan asked Brandon “How’s the suit?” he simply replied “Tight!”

Glen was really surprised and genuinely touched at the fan turnout, reiterating Marc’s sentiment that because of fans he was making this show. So why did he decide to direct the pilot?

“Because they asked me! I’m so stoked I got to do Supergirl as well – 2 pilots in one year is fantastic!” He is currently directing an episode of The Flash.

Which pilot is more difficult to shoot?

“Each has its difficulties but LoT essentially as its a bit more technical with CGI etc. Plus Supergirl shot in 20 days. LoT is also a 20 day shoot but 2 hours long!”

What is the tone of LoT?

It’s definitely lighter than The Flash and Arrow but it has comedy action etc – you’re gonna love it! With time travel there are lots of scenes set in different periods e.g. the ’70s which look cool and are fun.”

As we tried to take photos Miranda had camera problems – “Been there!” Glen joked. I’m sure he could verse us all on camera difficulties!

It was endearing to spend time with such an amiable cast and crew. I’m sure that chemistry will filter through onto our screens making the pilot of Legends of Tomorrow a fun ride – catch the 2-hour premiere on Thursday 21st in the US on CW network, and soon after on Sky1 in the UK.
